Last evening, President Obama delivered a much anticipated address to the nation with respect to the tragic shootings in California last week.  The speech was, in actuality, NO SPEECH, for it provided nothing new as far as a strategy is concerned.  The only positive thing about it was that the President did use the term “terrorism.”

That said, the way in which he used/uses the term is incredibly deceptive.  He, and most in the media, say “We are at war with terrorism.”  In reality, “terrorism” is a tactic, not an enemy! “Terrorism” is an approach employed by the enemy, but not the enemy itself!  The equivalent in WWII would be to say, “We are at war with mechanized tanks!”  No, mechanized tanks were but one tactic employed by our enemy.  But, they were not the enemy!  We were at war with Germany, who used mechanized tanks as but one tactic in their multifaceted arsenal!

Additionally, the President set up a straw man last evening, when he said, “No person who is on the no-fly list should be able to purchase a gun.”  The problem with that statement is that Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik weren’t on the no-fly list!  His straw man argument is nothing less than another attempt to defend his desire to further disarm the American people.  The state of California has some of the staunchest gun laws in the nation.  Yet, this evil act occurred.  I cannot help but wonder what would have been the outcome had the good people in San Bernardino had weapons in their possession with which to defend themselves last Wednesday?  What would have been the outcome had the soldiers on Ft Hood had weapons in their possession the day Nadal Hassan went on his Islamic ideology rampage?  I dare say that 14 people would not have tragically died at both locations!!!

My friends, we are at war (because it has been declared on us–we are in it whether we like it or not) with the ideology that is ISLAM.  That evil ideology has proponents/adherents who want to implement that ideology, thus limiting or eradicating our way of life!  The tactic that is used is called “terrorism.”  But that tactic is NOT the real enemy!  Again, it needs to be thoroughly underscored that “we will never defeat what we are unwilling to accurately define!”  Until our President is willing to name the enemy–“Islamic ideology”, we will NEVER defeat the enemy, or be able to appropriately defend ourselves from that enemy!

And, to those who would say that we have no responsibility to defend ourselves from a real and growing enemy, they are living in a fantasy world, worshiping a fantasy “Jesus,” and defending a fantasy ideology!  When they deny the reality of what Islam is and teaches, they have buried their minds in the sand and refuse to take the teachings of the Koran and Hadith at face value!  Tragically, the “gospel” and “Jesus” that these twisted minds promote is not the Jesus of the Bible (2 Corinthians 11:4)!

Lest I be accused of hating, let me quickly say that I hate NO Muslim individual!  To those enslaved in the purely evil ideology that is Islam, I reach out with compassion! But, to the ideology of evil itself, I despise it with a holy passion, and resist it with clarion courage–for it is that which is leading its followers to hell itself!  But, evil ideology tragically takes on a face and body, just as the Wicked One himself took on the form of a serpent–thus forever denigrating that reptile.  Just as I would defend my wife, children, and home from an evil intruder, I should/will defend my wife, children, and home from those who would want to harm them!  To do otherwise is anything but Christian! According to I Timothy 5:8, if my providing for my family’s material needs is a reflection of my faith, then would my protection of my family from harm not also be the same?  I certainly believe so!!!

So, our President said nothing of substance other than his repeated defense of Islamic ideology–lying by saying it is NOT the thing with which we are at war–when the exact opposite is true!
His proposed “plan” to deal with ISIS is completely inconsequential!  This man has led America to become a “toothless tiger” with no will, and a growing lack of capability, to defend itself!  Should, heaven forbid, a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack occur, the death of thousands will be squarely and solely on the head and hands of, to quote David Barton, “America’s most Biblically hostile president!”
