NC Legislature Does Courageous Thing!!

Yesterday morning, the NC Senate took a courageously righteous step in passing a bill that, if passed in the House, will prohibit the sale of fetal body parts.  By a vote of 41 to 3, the Upper Chamber acted!  The actual wording of the bill is as follows.  “No person shall sell the remains of an unborn child resulting from an abortion or a miscarriage, or any aborted or miscarried material,” and it creates a Class I felony offense for a violation of the law.

The North Carolina Pastors Network (NCPN) applauds the NC Senate, especially Senator Chad Barefoot, for their aggressive and tireless labor to pass this incredibly important piece of legislation!  Now, the bill returns to the NC House for their consideration!

In a day when much of the news coming from the halls of our state and federal legislatures is negative, it is beyond encouraging to see the majority of those we’ve elected to represent us in the NC General Assembly stand so fearlessly for righteousness!  It is imperative that these men and women hear from us and understand how much we appreciate their uncompromising commitment to truth and right!

May this be but the beginning of many additional legislative victories to come!
